This side is an exchange of opinions where other's views should be respected (!) with an open mind. Therefore, remarks which are disrespectful, insulting, with threads and such will often get marked down because of these reasons.
On the other side of the coin I think it is unfair to mark down opinions someone does not agree with even though they are written in a good, old, respectful fashion. That's what we are here for - to learn about other opinions.
Please, BlackOrchid, think about this with an open mind. Thank you.

I am very thankful, JWBrothers, for your quick response. To be able to answer you and in the middle of the night (!) I have read every one of your fifty answers on the first five pages where you have 10 minus points even though I have read some of your answers before. I could not find one bad word from you, and you got marked downs? I realized, you are correct the reason can only be for your being on the "wrong" side.
As you will see, I changed my comment a little bit. Thank you, JWBrothers. :)

They are just wrong and always want to tell others what to do. Therefore, I answer as good as I get if you know what I mean. I don't really like talking about spiritual issues. That is personal. Many people don't know about economical or social issues. It is all a matter of opinion with very little facts.

What we all need to do is quit plugging our ears, shutting our eyes, and stomping our feet and ACTUALLY listen with an open mind. I have learned a lot from listening and reading others point of view. I have even come to realize that I was wrong or not up to date on some issues and there is nothing wrong with finding out that you were/are wrong because it helps you learn. I have learned in life that for what you are wrong on and can not admit it to yourself and others then you have allowed yourself to quit learning and become more aware.

I am very rarely a fence sitting centrist and when I am there I do a lot of quick studying to get the hell off of that fence and make up my damn mind. There have been some things that I was on one side totally and then went to the other side on both Republican, Democrat, and Liberal. Like I said though I try to learn from all of you with an open mind. By definition I am considered a Moderate.
Good articulation! I am in the camp, that there shouldn't be rules that govern how one generally should think about an issue. Its not detachment that causes non-polar thinking. Refusing to accept overwhelming evidence plays out on every scale.
Lately it seems like conservatives do nothing but lie. I had to quit listening to Hannity. This guy lies all the time and it has been proven, but he continues to do this and people believe him. This is disturbing. Seems like they are trying to tear our country apart and any news broadcast (they call drive by media) that disagrees with them is lead by what they call the messiah. I find this offensive. I know Hannity knows he is lying, but I do think Limbaugh believes his own hype.

While you are entitled to your opinion most assuredly, but how can you expect anyone with an opposing view to want to listen to you when you feel that way. If you want someone to at least hear your opinions out or let you at least share your view, you must offer the same to them.
I do read many opinions knowing I will not always agree. I do get offended with personal attacks.
Oh, okay, I can understand that; it is hard to want to share when you feel attacked, I can certainly attest to that. I am a conservative and honestly do appreciate the back and forth of views, even if I don't agree with the liberal view, when it doesn't degenerate. Although, it is hard to prevent that in some instances, but I get what you mean.
