It will go up. It will go down. McCain will get the lead. Ultimately, the final poll will not be too close.

Obama's got two problems.

1) When it gets right down to it, people who said they would vote for him are going to flake out.

Solution: Obama needs to get some real economic brain power on his team right *now*.

2) Big business will not be on his side. They'll get spooked if he doesn't do things the usual way.

Solution: He'd better figure out how to maneuver without their help and get popular support for his economic plans. Communication is the key.

Big business may not be on his side, but when the debates start and McCain says "huh?" every time a question comes up about the economy, Obama will look like an accounting genius.

Obama's economics: Give it up and let the government take it over. Government knows best (even if we've never done it before!)

If Obama ever gets a question he has to answer that's not scripted, he's toast. All he can say is "Ahhh" over and over.

Plus, he's a pure left liberal. He doesn't have a sound economic or foreign policy idea. Not that McCain is a conservative, just not a flaming liberal. Both choices are bad for the USA.

If I remember correctly, polling people about Obama has never been all that accurate. When asked the question outside a polling place, a significantly higher amount of people said they were voting for him than actually voted for him during many of the Primaries. This is one election where I think that the Polls will not be all that close to reality.

I still think he will win, but I just don't think you can trust the polls.

Fair enough. Here is a blog post that talks about it from April.
