No major terrorist attacks in the US since Sept. 11 - This is because... Ask a Question

Because it takes a heckuva lot of planning to pull off a terrorist attack here successfully. I think most attempts get stopped early on. We had what the press termed a near miss here in NYC a couple of months ago, but truthfully the feds were on to this guy for a while, it never would have succeeded. 9/11 would have had less of a chance of being successful if more people in the right places paid attention to what they were being told and acted on it. (I'm thinking specifically of those reports coming from flight training schools to the FBI.) I don't think that a attack similar to this is possible now; a terrorist would have to come up with a new method, and that can take years of planning.

I guess I should have made an option like " of the hard work of law enforcement agencies everywhere" That probably would've been better than "plain luck", but too late now

Too late now. Just like when GWB didn't read his daily report in Crawford. What a pity, Jonny

Oddly enough - plain luck is the most popular answer...

That's right moderate down the opinion you don't like.

What is this a censoring of opinions.
