Yeah, there's more than one thing MP can stand for.
Of course, that's just a guess, as Military Police is the only thing I can think of as well, but I really don't think that's what the question is about!
And actually I should probably explain more - there's been a scandal of late about MPs claiming for outrageous things on their expenses, things like ornamental duck islands and under tennis court heating. Their expenses are paid out of the taxes people pay, and on top of their salaries.
