In my area of the world McDonalds is at the bottom of food quality and must be avoided as possible. Knowing that school cafeterias have better food, sure I agree smaller but I'm undecided with my strong belief the food should be banned thanks to McDonalds food quality.
People want what they are trained to want through marketing. That's why Mickey D's spend about a BILLION dollars a year on it, mostly directed at children who are too young to resist it. And specifically designed by child psychologists and development experts to be most effective.
If this were not so, any stockholder could, and would, SUCCESSFULLY sue them for wasting stockholder's money.

they should make better food period! Just the thought of McDonald's food makes me want to puke.
Portions or proportions?
Smaller portion sizes does not suddenly make their food healthy. And even if it did, customers who want healthy food do not go to McDonald's.

They only make what the people want. If they made the portions smaller, the people will just have two instead of one.
