Obama supports taxation of those with a higher income and the redistribution of wealth. That goes against the idea that if you work hard, you can succeed and do what you want with your money. You earned it, no one should tell you what to do with it.
And the republicans are waging a war on the poor and turning the middle class into the new poor. So i think it's about time to turn around the last 8 years of horrendous blunders and idiotic policies and perhaps tax those that have more money than anyone could ever use in their lives. sound reasonable to me.

yes. the republican are waging war on the poor and middle class, exactly. the bush administration has been one long fiasco of changing the laws of this country to favor big business and corruptions to the detriment of the poor and the middle class.
So again, you are saying that the bush administration (and/or republicans) makes the poor pay a higher tax rate than the rich? Wow!

i wasn't really attacking anyone. merely pointing out that from a certain perspective the quote is accurate. as i said i am totally perplexed by this god thing and find it rather hateful that there is a group of people who believe that i will be punished for that. I don't believe they will be punished for not believing in quantum physics.

I love negative sweeping generalizations. Especially when it is complaining about someone else who made a negative sweeping generalization.
It's turned into a case of fighting fire with fire. Problem is it only works when you're fighting "fire." The literal stuff as opposed to the figurative stuff.
