If society is going to tolerate alcohol, nicotine, and caffeine, I don't see any problem with peyote, kif, opium, and other botanicals that millions of people around the world have been using for relaxation, as social lubricants, or as agents of religious ceremony for thousands of years. When the older generation dies off we will see the younger generation return to sanity and possession of all natural substances people can ingest for whatever purpose they choose will once again become legal. As soon as we realize people can thrive well without excessive government interference we will see fewer and fewer inane laws on the books.
