How in the hell do you expect children to learn respect if you do not respect them. If you expect a child to show you respect but you feel that you do not need to show them respect then all you are doing is being a control freak and control freaks are usually not very good parents.
Children are just little people. I start having a problem with them when they reach teen age years. I was one once and I know how I knew everything at that age.
Kids get TOO much respect and attention if you ask me. Damn things are greedy little mongols.
Uh - no disrespect to any Mongolians. (lol)
Watched a great episode of South Park the other night. Cartman's behavior was so bad his mother was calling all the nanny reality shows. Nanny 911 quit, Super Nanny ended up in a mental institution - and then she called Cesar Milan (The Dog Whisperer). Cesar got him straightened out. Was hilarious!
Well I think children should, I grew up in a house with 12 brothers and sisters and my parents weren't all that respecting and it's painfully sometimes...

Love them with all your heart.
They can just go into another room and be taken away, like Exodus Tyson.
Respect the little person, but not always their behaviour!
