My two German Shepherds want to go out and play during storms and love fireworks. My cat could care less (she either hunts or sleeps through any of those).
Thunder on four days this week. My dog seems to becomkng accustomed and was less frightened on each successive day. Be interesting to see if this effect persists.
My dog shivers and shakes like a leaf during storms, for some reason only he knows he always wants to go outside during and he's actually much calmer out of the house.
I do not know why but some animals as they get older become more sensitive to noise. Even though my animals are fine now does not mean that they will always be fine.
My cat and dog don't care, but when my dog needs to go out and it's raining hard, I'll open the door for him. He looks out at the rain, looks up at me like, "You've GOT to be kidding," turns around and walks out of the room B^)
They are afraid of fireworks.

My dog, as big as he is, tries to crawl behind the toilet in the basement washroom if there is a storm.

My dog didn't use to be afraid of thunder. Then a few years ago, for some reason, he became afraid.
My cat doesn't care.

Dog, yes. Cat, no.

Dang! that sounds familiar. They just think that they are to good to go out in the rain. :)
