Is the use of 'Tazers' a form of torture? Ask a Question

I think they could be used to torture someone but I wouldn't consider usage by police officers in the line of duty within the prescribed guidelines for use to be torture.

I have one.. it's pink

to go with the pink handbag, pink phone, pink purse, etc, etc?

Ever used it?

ha ha never had to, I got it as a gift but it's better than carrying around a gun.

here's hopeing you never need it bunny.

you never know in houston

My .32 has a longer range!

Use, no. Misuse, yes.

Of course it is. We have decided that torture is O.K. in this country, though.

Well your regime has decided that, the people however have not (I hope)

Maybe the S&M folks might get a great kick out of getting hit by a Taser but I think that most of the people that do get hit by them have probably done something to earn it.

That would be the "M" half of the S&M crowd.

LOL I think that would be a bit extrreme for all but the most hardened cases, those batttery operated sports racket shaped fly swatters are bad enough!

No, just a better alternative to using lethal force.

While I have do doubt they could be used for torture, there are far more effective measures available.

Did you ever read the story about the guy that got one as a gift and while he was sitting in his living room with his dog decided to try it on himself?

What a shocking story it must have been!

I almost fell out of my chair laughing so hard. I saved it some where. If I get a chance to look for it I'll post it.

It depends on who it's used on. :)

If it's used on me it's a form of torture. If it's used on a criminal it's not. :)
