Poll: Racial views steer some white Dems away from Obama
I think a lot of white people who live and work with bigots are not very vocal about supporting Obama, but I think once they cast their ballots Obama will end up with a lot more of their votes than your pollsters are calculating on.
Personally speaking as a white middle aged male,I would vote for any race or either gender for that matter. I just want a genuine leader.
I agree. And I think a person that the majority of young people can truly look up to will make a great different in the candidate's success after inauguration day.
I do not think that they are. I think that Barack Obama will be the next president of the United States.
I agree dawg..
Because there are fewer bigots than the media wants people to believe, or just because people realize he is much more intelligent, analytical, less likely to get tripped up by big words and long acronyms, and more eager to use diplomacy to lead America and show our strength rather than using a misplaced show of manpower to unwin friends and uninfluence people?
Wow, was all of that really necessary? I don't really get the point of turning everything into an anti McCain rant. Don't you get sick of it?
Let me paraphrase your comment:
"Because there are fewer bigots, or because Obama is a better candidate?"
See, how hard was that.
I will answer my above question though. I think it is because Obama is a better candidate in this election.
A couple of weeks ago Newsweek carried an article but a guy whose name I forget - Jacob somebody? - suggesting that anyone who does not vote for Obama is a racist bigot.
I thought this attempt at moral blackmail was disgusting.
I hope McC wins. Electing Obama would, imo, be a step into the unknown. He has never actually had the responsibility of running anything at all, which seems poor preparation for running America.
