I do not consider myself "Religious". Spiritual, yes. I think religion benefits many people. Of course others abuse it and hurt others with it. Just like anything else it has its positives and negatives. Most of us tend to only hear about the bad.
I blieve that religion is the biggest sham ever pulled on mankind for power over them. It has done more to divide than unite since the begining of man's history. I believe that spirituality is important, but religion is a dividing force.
But there is no such thing as 'spirit' so 'spirituality' is as big a sham as religion.
The word is from roots meaning "to bind together again". Makes ya wonder who is being bound to whom, and for what purpose.
I do not subscribe to organized religion, but I refuse to belittle anyone who does. I only wish that the people who do, would respect my decision not to.
Yes, and not try to make me follow the rules of their belief system by making it law.

I'm a catholic who dose not go to church but I still prey on occasion. At times I feel it's nonsense, however, preyer dose work. Due to bible politics I've tolerate all religions because no matter what your belief is, Preyer always calms down people and helps everyone in times of need.
My opinion is that religion is the most successful scam ever created. It's been separating people from their money and property for a heap of absolutely, nothing! They call it faith. I call it fraud.
