If he is he has been awfully quiet... From time to time there have been tapes but as far as I know nobody was able to confirm the authenticity of those. I think it would be pretty easy to provide evidence that you are still alive. Therefore either he does not want this fact to be known or he is indeed dead and Al Quaeda is not disclosing that fact. For now I guess the chance that he is dead is slightly higher.
I am very suspicious of his silence for quite some time now. It might be a trick of him and in reality he is preparing something very BIG; worst than what he came up with before. Maybe this time he is concentrating on certain parts of Europe? I read, the German government has reasons to believe something is brewing.
And even if he would not be alive anymore his followers are as bad as he is / was.
