It's happening but how much by Man V.S. Nature is causing more. In the past cycles nature did worse environmental damage than what is currently happening.
Yes, the planet is warming, and yes, it is in large part human-caused.
If you are patient, going through this file of pictures will show you some very interesting before and after pictures. Since the collection is not dedicated to such things, you must look to find the appropriate ones:
WHAT THE F..?? Are you all insain? GW is very real, and it should be taken very seriously. It is scientific fact(IPCC- Global Worming, 2007). i am sure you all heard about desertification, deforestization (every 3 years for the size of france lass rain forest), 34.000 diferent plants, and 5.200 diferent kinds of animals are on the edge of extinction.. and i must say i am not surprised that people from USA think that it is a myth, because their government also think so! 172 countries signed KYOTO protocol, which try to establish some legal boundaries of CO2 emissions, and guess which country is not among them!!!

The IPCC are are a bunch of careerist non-entities on the make. Very few are climate scientists. The UN 'climate chief' does not even have a science degree - he has an Engineering degree from some Indian university.
"Scientific fact"? Nothing of the kind. An absurd theory, only supported by faked up computermodels.

RE; guess which country is not among them!!!
China, Brazil and USA. The KYOTO protocol, by it's proponents own admission, needs each of these three to work. China declined to be part of the discussions. I don't know what happened to Brazil, but the Kyoto protocol conflicted with the search and seizure parts of the US constitution and there was a LOT of concern that it wouldn't do what it was designed to do; reduce global warming.
We do not know what causes global warming. We have some pretty strong theories, but we DO NOT KNOW what causes global warming. That makes it insane to take actions costing billions of dollars and euros and yen and pounds that may not work and may make worse problems. Many of the "proofs" of global warming you mentioned are proofs of human activity, but there are NO proofs that these things caused this global warming cycle and even less evidence that the KYOTO agreement would solve the problem if implemented.
Now quit preaching to me. Get the facts and convince me if you can, but after all the abuse "environmentalists" have heaped on us over the years, we will assume you are lying unless unless you can conclusively prove you are telling the truth. You lost your status as one of the good guys a long time ago.

Even if we don't KNOW what causes global warming we certainly KNOW what the effects are, and if we do nothing to mitigate those effects we will be in a world of hurt.
Well we - or many of us - do not. For example sea levels are NOT rising and have not done so for the last 50 years. So says Prof Mörner, geologist and physicist lately of Stockholm U, and over 35 years the most respected world authority on sea level.
Thank you so much for your ad hominem attacks and unsupported assertions, april. Now we can all see the quality of your arguments and judge them for exactly what they are.
Being a classroom you should probably spend some more time in class and learn how to properly phrase your question.
The answer to this question can only be "yes" - global warming is real or just a myth, unless there is a way for it to be neither real nor just a myth.
Mmmmmmm. I think there is very little doubt that global warming is real. The more difficult question is whether it is the result of industrialisation or a natural cycle. If I were to believe half of what I hear, there seems to be little doubt on this question either.
You'd think that between 30 awesome students they could learn to formulate a question that was answerable. This one can only honestly be answered, "Yes." Instead of "Yes/No" the choices should have been, "Real" or "Myth." ;o)
As we replied to someone else, we are only 6 and 7 years old and this is part of an action plan we are doing to help. we are getting some background information. we just want to help
Global warming is real, but I disagree that's it's the huge threat it's made out to be. Considering that we aren't going to be reducing out carbon emissions soon, the best strategy is to prepare for a warmer world.
That's really not a Yes/No question.
Plus, it's a mix of both.

Global warming is a myth. The greatest mass delusion since the witchcraft scares of the 17th century.

[-5 points] 3 years ago by deleted user ReplyYes, global warming is either real or just a myth. What else could it be?
And yet 31% of the people voted "No." And it looks like it will make it to the top. Go figure.
Does make you wonder why you spend time on here!
Pearls before swine and all that.
The earth does appear to be warming, but is it going to be enough to stave off the next ice age??

couldn't have picked a better word for you myself.
you know admitting it is half the battle.
now go get the help you know you need!

Aw shucks ma'am. Thank ye kindly.
Being called brilliant by april is like being called stupid by Einstein.
Even if we don't KNOW what causes global warming we certainly KNOW what the effects are, and if we do nothing to mitigate those effects we will be in a world of hurt.
Well. you're right again. Last time, we had Viking invaders.
Watch out for those blond men from the North! (grinning, ducking and running)

Not a yes/no question, I wont answer it; marked as inaapropaite...
But I dont think so.
