I am surprised to see that almost a quarter of the people actually said yes. I personally think that it is violent, but as ask001 said, not anymore than any other religion. Still, I am surprised that people are saying yes.
I personaly believe that fundamentalist religion(all kind) are dangerous...I mean, what are they fighting for?...just take a break and thing about it.Fundamentalist have no justification at all
It's a bit too much of a generalisation to give a simple yes or no answer.
The main man certainly came to a violent and cruel end, as did many of the early followers, so from early days it was more of a victim of violence.
As it grew larger and stronger, it could start calling the shots, and this was bad news to anyone who did not agree with it, or even with the same flavour of "it" as the guy in the next country/province/town/street or even house!

Some yes and some no. Christianity in its core is not violent. They have radical groups like I am sure every religion has (except Buddisim) which make it violent.
No more or less so then any other religion, the violence is more related to culture then religion. Religion is often just used as the justification.

As Whims pointed out, it is the fundamentalist factions in any religion that have the problems with violence. The rest of us just want to get along.
