Unemployed were not given extra money here because they thought it would be spent on rent or food. We have always had training programs available to the unemployed.
They gave money to the people that would spend it and spread it around.
Pensioners, repairs on their home, car repairs. Parents with children, school uniforms, books, glasses, dental.
