I think the teenagers would be dead hard, could probably break a stong man over the years - but that is the best time to be teaching - the time when you can really capture their imagination, and influence the direction of their entire future!
The 15-20 year-olds, but only because I don't like kids. The most effective to teach, in terms of arming them with the tools of learning lifelong, would be the 5-10 year-olds.
Having taught 16 year olds and up for 6 years, would certainly avoid that age group. Very little respect, do as little as possible attitude and copy work. This may just be my students in my location, but would love to see what younger children are like and make sure they get put on the right path before hitting their teenage years...

[1 point] 3 years ago by deleted user ReplyAfter talking to some old friends who are also teachers working with 16+ (FE/HE), they have said they have had similar experience to me. All based in the UK. With any luck, it's just a generational thing and will get better.
