I knew that someone would respond with this argument :) It's nice to be able to stream content, but its not the same as having the big screen experience. It would be a hard choice if I really had to pick, but I think I love the internet too much despite my TiVo habit.
In five years kids will be asking "What is a television?" In fact I am already doing it since everything is going digital. There is no point in watching a television station anymore.

I was going to say the same as waugs. I never miss tv when I am away from home (and I do miss internet if I am not near an internet café). About the big screen - my tv screen is hardly any bigger than my PC screen.

We just got a huge HDTV recently; nonetheless, if I had to give up that TV or the Internet I would toss out the TV first without even blinking.
