When I had spinal anaesthesia my blood pressure dropped hugely (like it would if you were bleeding catastrophically). It was very pleasant, like going to sleep. I guess the wound would hurt though
I've never been shot before, but I have this idea that you would go into shock and not really notice the pain after a point. I've heard the same thing about freezing, though.
