How would you know how much air you have?
Lets say that you are relying on a single air tank because the mine is flooded. Each tank lasts an hour for one person and it will take 45 minutes to get rescued.
Consciously, I think I would choose to do nothing rather that choose to kill my friend or have them kill me, but I suspect that as a trip across the River Styx loomed closer then the natural will to survive would take over.
Yeah similar, I tend to think of myself as fairly correct and friendly and stuff. And I know life would be hard afterwards if I knew I had only survived because I killed my friend. But when facing imminent demise....I don't know, that would certainly change the perspective I guess.
