No, I would say rather the color of the players indicates the economic background they come from. You might as well ask if skiing is racist because most of the participants are white.
I agree with you and hope the people will remember when the shoe is on the other foot and whites are accused of being racist just because there happens to be more of them with the ability to do the job better..
Well, yes, but the initial recruiting is down from high schools for college basketball - the process starts way early. It probably helps many guys get into college that wouldn't be able to go otherwise.
I am suggesting that there are none--it just works out the way that the most talented are the best, no matter what color. And the same will go for coaches, refs, so forth..
Maybe where you live?
So, that is not the case where you are?
Never noticed it, but in fairness I have to make a conscious effort to see it..
We have a couple of African-American guys in our teams.
Corey "Homicide" Williams, African-American plays for the "Crocodiles" has been given the award as The Most Valuable Player, in Australia.
Homicide---sounds like a good one for sure...
I guess you're not getting the Duke game :-)
No but I see it on the web and there is 1 out of 10---what do you see, Duke is good...
No they are simply darn good basketballers. A joy to watch. I'm sure they don't come cheaper like the barbies at walmart or costco.

Isn't recruiting done from colleges? How many blacks get to go to college? Fewer in absolute numbers and, I am sure, fewer percentage-wise.
