My current car is 5 years old now. I would like a new one, but have trouble justifying as my old one is in great condition, with no trouble. Almost 90,000 miles, but a Toyota, so should be good to go for a while yet.

My Toyota has 216k - still runs like a top. '95 purchased used in 1999 with 68k, paid cash. Not counting oil changes, tires and belts - has cost me about $3k in repairs in nine years. And that's counting brakes, a broken shock mount, (running off the road in snow), shocks, front coils and worn out boots meant replacing the front axles. I've just noticed that the AC might need a recharge. Not quite as cool as it was last summer, but still doing the job in 90 degree heat.

Oh - and the factory issued CD player is starting to skip around every once in a great while. (lol) The only thing it really needs is a paint job. That's still factory, too. And I NEVER wax the car. I just get the spray on stuff at the car wash. (lol)
