Using your creditcard still isn't the same currency. Especially for large companies it really matters a lot. Right now, for us Europeans, doing business with the US is quite attractive while the dollar is quite low, therefore US products are fairly cheap for us to buy, on the other hand, selling our stuff to the US is getting harder.
But I don't think that it's plausible that we'll get a single currency. There are and always have been wars going on in the world, and as long as we can't live together as one country, we won't get one currency either.
No fuck'n shit it's not currency.... why did the EU make a universal currency.... so you could use it in all of the participating countries... and just like i said, your visa card is excepted wherever you go.... just like a universal currency would.... and like i said before too, it will convert the correct amount to your local credit card company and deduct.... if i buy something on my creditcard in Europe for €1 it will automatically bill my card $1.57.
OOOOH and i love the thing about the euro your talk'n about.... your buying all are shit but your not selling.... before you know it though, that will be the Euro's double edged sword and the value will fall....

Well, I never thought of the credit card as a currency before you suggested it.
