I prefer LOW fares and paying for meals, pillows or anything else.

This is the way I see airline tickets in the future:

JFK to LAX round trip ticket: $1 (lowest price guaranteed.*)

Ticket processing surcharge: $35

Fuel surcharge: $370

Airport surcharge: $25

Pilot surcharge: $20

Co-Pilot surcharge: $15

Aircraft maintenance surcharge: $75

Air traffic control surcharge: $25

1st check bag surcharge: $25

2nd check bag surcharge: $50

No checked bag surcharge: $20

1st carry-on bag surcharge: $50

2nd personal item (purse, briefcase, etc) carry-on surcharge: $75

TSA pubic image improvement campaign surcharge: $0.02

911 tax: $15

911 tax processing fee: $15

Boarding surcharge: $5

Disembarking surcharge: $50

Windows seat surcharge: $30

Isle seat surcharge: $30

....

Well said!

I agree with all except one item... the

TSA pubic image improvement campaign surcharge: $0.02. Since this is a bureaucracy and has to do with their image, I would guess it will most likely come in at about $780 after they add in all their advisers, cronies of politicians and near cousins who get the contracts to improve said image.
