Not directly. I would set up trusts that continue to generate income over time, rather than a single (or multiple) donations that, once spent, are gone.
I am not a great fan of the big organised charities, it is too hard to see the results of your contribution, though obviously they are needed and do good work.
My personal preference now is to help out people I know who have real hardships, and smaller local charities that are more transparent.
If I were wealthy I suspect I would continue doing this only on a larger scale.
So far I have not been very wealthy but even now I donate (small amounts) to good causes. Probably I would donate more if I got really wealthy.

I too have come to help people around me who have needs. At least I know where it is going and The Lord blesses it!
