Homophobia should NOT be called a phobia because it isn't a fear it is a blind hatred such as racism.

Much as I love the sentiment, in "Diversity's Rainbow" the author (a trans-gendered person) points out behavior that looks suspiciously like homophobia in birds. I don't think we know enough to judge, although I am on the side of calling it blind hatred and penalizing its overt expressions.
I agree it is about fear. Take the book To Kill A Mocking Bird for example. But that fear is caused by ignorance, such as the childrens fear of Boo Radley. It isn't that people fear homosexuality, it is that they fear anything different from the norm and are intolerant to that difference. But it isn't a literal fear in the sense of agoraphobia or xenophobia is and cannot be grouped into those conditions. Although there may be people out there who truly are homophobic we use the term to define the same type of feeling we have about different ethnic groups. By calling it a phobia it sounds a lot nicer and that bothers me I guess.
There is much debate and conjecture about the term homophobia and its exact meaning today. Since the word was coined by George Weinberg in 1972, it has been used and abused by different interest groups to represent everything from those who, through ignorance, fear that homosexuality is contagious, to those who advocate violence and hatred against homosexuals.
As the original poster's question presupposes the latter meaning, which is only one of many, it is not possible to answer this question without agreeing with the original poster's definition of homophobia.
No, I don't know a lot about Heraphrodditism as I just had to look it up on wikipedia a few minutes ago, but it doesn't see likely.
Anyway Human Homosexuality is people of exactly the same gender having a relationship that a man & a women would typically share, except for the marriage, that bit isn't legal in most countries (yet).
Well I know from experience that it is hormonal. I'm not sure of the medical facts of it, but it is the most logical explaination.
Anyway it can't possibly be a choice for most, since I know many gay people who would have wanted to be straight, but that wasn't the way it turned out for them.
There may have been an event or seris of events that subconsciously lead them to be homosexual, or it could have been that they were born that way, I think they were bron that way.
It could be something mental, either by the events or that they were born that way. It's probable since most homosexuals go through a lot of mental damage in accepting themselves and others not accepting them for who they are.
There's even a theory that they are the next step in evolution, who knows?
if evolution was true then they are going the opposite direction, since least complicated creatures do not need an opposite sex to reproduce and complicated ones needs it. if evolution was a fact.
Well there was a time when there was more men than women, then there was more women than men, and apparently there will be a time where there will only be women. Apparently this also happened before, all men have a gene in similar, and all women have a gene in similar, meaning that there must have been one man & one women to begin with. The problem is that the first women is 80,000 years older than the first man.
An invisible man living in the sky, who'll send you to hell to burn forever if you don't believe in him, but he loves everyone so much that he sent his son to die (which I think was unessesary), but came back to life and performed magic tricks such as turning water into wine and plagueing frogs everywhere?
No, they are not a new race. However the mentallity of people who discriminate agaisnt that way is similar to that of the mentallity of racists. It was a comparison.
Ignorant bigots are racists, and ignorant bigots are "homophobic."
Homophobia is simply an irrational fear of homosexuality not hate, someone who has Arachnophobia doesn’t go and squash the spider but is too afraid and gets away from it, similarly someone with homophobia isn’t one to commit a hate crime, but rather simply is affected by the irrational fear that comes from bad education and no exposure to the situation.

that is the point I am trying to make. Unfortunately we use the same word to define the irrational fear that we use to describe the hatred. there needs to be a new word. i purpose orientationism.
I love to think. I love to ask questions. That's why I am doing this. I want to know what people are thinking. I want to see the world's views. By asking anonymous strangers online we can learn more than asking our closest friends.
Truer words have not been spoken.
An excellent observation

No, it's pretty much fear.
Fear that if they don't oppose it loudly enough, people will wonder if perhaps THEY are gay, too (which just might be the case!).
Or Fear of a lifestyle they totally don't understand.

racism is about hate for something you have no control over.
However, homosexuality is a choice for a malpractice, quite similar to drug addiction.
I think you explained yourself poorly here, care to try again?
I think he's saying that being gay is a choice, and anyone who is currently gay could decide to not be gay anymore.
And I would disagree with that opinion.
As would I, just didn't get the malpractice bit or the reference to drug addiction.
Homosexuality is not a choice. Alougth only 10% of homosexuals choose to be that way, sadly, it has become the sterotype.
What about the 90%? How did they become Homosexuals?
Well for them they don't choose it and it is all hormones. Learning is fun, isn't it?
you mean they have a physiological reason to make them homosexuals?
Yes.
Hermaphrodite?
No, I don't think Hermaphroditism is possible in humans.
that's new to me.
is this a proven medical fact?
No, I don't know a lot about Heraphrodditism as I just had to look it up on wikipedia a few minutes ago, but it doesn't see likely.

I am talking about the hormonal effect on human homosexuality if it was medically proven or is it only an urban myth?
Well I know from experience that it is hormonal. I'm not sure of the medical facts of it, but it is the most logical explaination.

did they discover that they were homosexuals or there is an event in their lives that lead them to be like that?

How did the first woman appear 80k years before the first man? how did her race survive all that time without a man?
and why would you assume first man was not even before first woman?
This is what the scientists say, and I don't think it was assuming, I think it was a theory.
I think they are talking about fossils
anyways, there are people who oppose such theory and have an alternate theory (creation)
You mean God made everything? I don't think that happened.
Why not?
Who/what created god?

You don't see a little bit of a problem here??
It is. But that has nothing to do with it. There are many different types of Hermaphodites actually within humans. It is rare but it does happen.
The more you know!
