I don't doubt it, Philly is a "welfare" city (1 in 5 residents get assistance) and Sarah is generally against welfare so they booed her. They would do that in New Orleans too.

Sorry to correct you, Mike, but I have the hockey package on Dish Network. She was booed BEFORE she came on the ice, she was booed while ON the ice for the ceremony, and she was booed AS she left the ice. The entire time her face was on display, she was resoundingly BOOED!!!
What does manners have to do with it? Bush has been at many fund raisers here and he's been booed. I would do the same for what he has done to MY COUNTRY!

Edited to add: You know, I hope that little girl didn't really understand what was going on. I mean, that her mom was being booed. It was an appropriate, political reaction for the crowd, but talk about disheartening for a kid - to be able to define the moment she realized her mom was held in low esteem by millions of people. If she did, I wonder how Sarah explained it? "Honey, they hate Mommy because they hate little babies and Jesus ..."
