Well, one day i was walking home with my friend and a middle aged woman approached us. She was of Indian? background and couldnt speak english that well.
She kept saying something about how she had to go somewhere and showed us a piece of paper which had a phone number on it. We called it but no one picked up.
We took her to the nearest store and called the police station.
Hope she went home or to that place safely...
It was really good of you to understand her problem and show her the way , a good deed by us today will be rewarded by a good deed by someone else when we face some difficulty. It was really a kind act of yours.
Used to. Whenever the occasion presented itself I never shied away from helping anyone. Now days it is a dangerous undertaking. It's one of the main tricks used in Europe to rob motorist or carnap. Driving through France, it is considered very stupid and dangerous to stop off in an un-populated parking area.
That is true sometimes it is indeed dangerous to go near unknown people, but what i was refering to was in public, with people all around you if a stranger requires your help will you help him without any hesitation.
I've helped numerous people who were broken down along the road or in a parking lot. Given them a jump, or a ride to get gas, or called for more help. I was also the first at the seen of a nasty accident.
Great, you deserve to be appreaciated.continue the good work.
Of course. Isn't that one of the meanings of "Christian charity"?
I held a crying baby for a frustrated mother on 2 flights. They were both extremely grateful.
Now, a crying baby is something I'll move FAR away from! They always cry worse when I'm around!
holding babies needs a lot of patience, you will make a good parent.
Always, always. Can't count how many cars I've jumped, maps I've pulled out of my glove compartment, phone calls made, nursing home visits, heavy packages carried, children lugged, etc., etc., all for someone I don't know. I call it my 'good deed for the day.' But good deeds only count if you don't talk about them, so I suppose I've just blown virtually every good deed I've ever done.
Damn. Have to start all over again.
your enthusiasim in helping people is very very nice , occassionally telling people about it when asked is nothing wrong.
Always. I'm always willing to lend someone a helping hand. Wouldn't we all want someone to give us the same treatment if we were in need of help? I think it goes along with being an Eagle Scout.
very true , we also like others to help in our difficulty.
