Have you ever been attacked by a Pit Bull? Ask a Question

I was repeatedly attacked by the same Lhasa Apso (however the hell you spell that). Really ugly dog with a really ugly attitude, but I was being paid big (in my teenage mind) to dogsit/housesit for a summer.

Had 11 stitches from a Newf that was stronger than he realized. That was just play though, not really an attack.

Was attacked by a roaming standard poodle in my own backyard when I was 14. Nothing is more humiliating than being attacked by a poodle. My dad heard me yell and ran outside with a shovel. The dog made the smart move and ran off with a mouthful of my shirt before being severely dented.

I also frightened a coyote that was eating and got a quick, deep bite. Still have a scar on my left forearm.

I clicked "no" before I read the "I've been attacked by a dog that was not a pit bull." (lol)

I've been bitten by a Pomeranian (and you thought a standard Poodle was embarrassing), a Dalmatian, a Beagle, a Wire-haired Fox Terrier, a Husky, a couple of Australian Shepherds and a mutt or two. Never received anything from a pit but wags and kisses.

2 times. Both times I was able to jump up on a car to escape being bitten. I've been carrying a very sharp lock blade pocket knife the last 5 years just waiting for it to happen again.

I like dogs, they know that and I get along well with them. The two pitbulls were running wild and both were later caught and put to sleep for having attached other people.

We just had a similar bad attack in New York, with 2 pitbulls running loose in a neighborhood. They attacked a 90 year old man, who lost 3 limbs. Really horrific. The authorities did the right thing in this case - arrested the owner. (the 2 dogs were put down).

no but i have attack a pit bull :p
