You have the right to drive a car. But you don't have the right to drive it at excessive speeds. You have the right to own a gun. But you don't have the right to use it to commit a crime. You have the right to live in any State that you wish. Or you can go to a country that tells you where to live, what to think, what to wear, and how many children you can have. Then you might cherish the Rights that you do have.

You do NOT have the right to drive a car, except on your own property. It is a privilege. Under the law.

So, the rights to things like freedom of press, religion, assembly, speech, and all the others in the Constitution don't actually exist either?

What does this do to the right to not be tortured? If cruel and unusual are back in play.....

So JonMarc says.

We have rights because of our govt. I don't understand why so many complain about the govt. Sure some are corrupt but most are not. I am glad to be American and I am glad we have a govt no matter who is in charge. Of course I like the dems the best.
