they're heros... but i don't knoww if they save themselves... what a world we live in! (:
Sometimes. Sometimes they save lives. Sometimes they rip off valuables from the houses they enter. Like any other job, it is filled by individuals, who must be judged on the basis of their individual actions.
Good answer.
See? We don't always disagree, though lately we have been ... on occasion.
Your right i have a friend that is a fire fighter and goes to school the lucky basterd will be taking a test get a page and the teacher will just give him a 95 for his "VALIENT" Services.
You must be some kind of fanatic to believe STRONGLY that all firemen are heroes. Why would they be? Because there's a chance they'll be in danger some time during their career?
What else makes someone a hero?
I guess more danger would help. I don't know how many firemen are actually killed in the line of duty, but I don't imagine it's very common. I don't see how a pretty normal career choice could qualify for hero status.
I'm a firefighter - normally after big fires we claim ourselves/each other to be heroes...
