Faith in what? Government arbitrators? The President? Labor unions? Am I forgetting anything?

Tell that to the people in Northern Ireleand. Tell that to the Jews in Nazi Germany (oh, wait... they're dead). Tell that to the Tibetans. Tell that to the muslims living in India... heck, tell it to the muslims living in the United States.

I'm in Northern Ireland, hence my "Strongly disargee" vote.

I don't hear much about Northern Ireland these days. Is the fighting still going on strongly between Protestants and Catholics like it was? I do find this interesting and appreciate any answer you could give me. A friend of mine went to Ireland about 8 years ago and loved it there. Wants to go back someday. Also, how do you feel about being part of the United Kingdom? Do you think that will ever change and Ireland and Scotland will become countries of their own? Thank you

Yeah, well Northern Ireland, alougth not as violent as it used to be is still chaotic. The protestants and catholics are at each others throats as always, which never made any sense to me.

Like huh? Protestant Christians and catholics christians? Notice anything similar? Both christians. I wish that they could just get over that they worship an invisible guy slightly different ways and get on with life. Oh well, as Carlespie Mary Alice McKinney would say, "Religion does three things quite effectively: Divides people, Controls people, Deludes people."

As an athiest, raised and forced into religion by a protestant family. I think we should split from the UK. Join Ireland or just be our own country. I don't know if anyone's noitced, but Gordon Brown has plummited his country into debt, and it'd be wise just to back away slowly and deny that we're with him, like he's a loud drunk guy at a bar.

Your welcome.

Faith and religion cloak greed and bigotry in the clothes of divine approbation. That is no recipe for peace.

I disagree because to many use religion to kill others. I personally don't think any religion justifies murder. It is just another excuse to kill those that have different beliefs than you do. In the US Evangelic ans always refer to Catholics as not being Christians. What a joke. At least they aren't killing us.

I don't think faith and religion has worked so far.

Faith is fine, it's religion that screws it all up.

Faith means you believe without proof. Religion are a bunch of man made rules that don't make sense. I am Catholic so I know a lot of stupid rules they try and guilt you into believing.

Faith is one thing and religion is something else entirely. Faith is believing in God and the bible. Religion is what the church, etc tell you to believe. Religion is what causes the many problems in the world. Faith is God and I don't think God would want people to go around killing others. No where does any bible, etc, tell us to do that.

I know about all of the crazy rules in the bible. They were written thousands of years ago and don't apply now. Kind of like some of the rules in the Constitution. Things change. I am amazed at all of the murdering in the Old Testament. But I must not be making my point clear. I do believe in God, but not everything in the Bible. The Bible is good for reference and getting people to think. I find that exciting.

Thanks, it is nice to get some positive feedback for a change. I love talking to people from other countries. I don't even know anyone personally that is from Europe. We live in an area where there are a lot of Asians. Interesting buy my heritage is from Europe.
