Creating money by printing money will not satisfy a real debt. Paper currency is worthless unless backed by something, recognized by both parties, that has value. Gold is such a commodity. If a country has enough gold to satisfy all of their debt, and do not pay their debt, producing more money does not finish a debt: payment in value finishes a debt.
