I suppose that you mean college education. Now that a range of universities have put their class content online, you can get a free education. Now we need some outfit that will proctor exams and give credit, and, ultimately, diplomas based on the free availability of college-level content.
All the information is free on the internet. Anyone could learn anything themselves if they took the initiative... unfortunately you wouldn't have an official piece of paper proving it. >_>
Hmmm....not really. Try looking for stuff in googleScholar some time. A LOT of stuff is behind pay portals. So is the OEd--best etymological dictionary around. So are most encyclopedias and library databases.
When are we going to get over this "free" mentality??? If you want something, go out and work for it and get it---do not expect someone to furnish it to you.
Nothing is "free". Their is no free education, health care, etc. It is all paid for by each of us through taxes; which more often than not are not implemented evenly.
Another problem is that giving something away as free to everyone inherently reduces it's value.
Nothing is free. Are you suggesting that you would rather pay "tax" instead of "tuition"?
Agree.
