I agree with waugs. It helps to understand something about the nature of preaching in black churches in America... I recommend this interview: ( http://www.npr.org/templates/story/story.php?storyId=89236162 ) with Dwight Hopkins, a professor of Theology at the University of Chicago Divinity School, who attends Rev. Wright's Trinity United Church of Christ.

Wrong, I can't embrace a racist and hate speech minister, nor the people that give them a pass or support them. He never condemned Rev. Wright, he had to know the Rev well enough after 20 years but lied about knowing the hate he preached.
If you can't embrace him you can't embrace him... but get your facts straight. He certainly DID condemn Rev. Wright's statements - he made a 37-minute speech around it! The whole speech is still one of the most viewed items on YouTube - look it up, and listen to what he actually says.
Are you actually interested in discussing this issue, or are you just looking for chances to denounce Wright, Obama and/or people disagree with you?
If it's the former, then great. But if it's the latter, save it. There's way too much playground-level finger-pointing going on in American politics already, and I'm not interested in being part of the problem.
Probably not. But he risks being thought to consort with racists.

Just spin, he didn't condemn the Rev. just the hate and racism he preached. He still fully supported the Rev., get YOUR facts straight.
Whatever. Obviously, I disagree.
