I think 'Web 2.0' will always be suitable to describe the developments around 2004-7/8/9... but more as an historical term. I am actually tired of it and would prefer calling it just 'the internet'.
I think it is appropriate for the internet after the dotcom crash. After some more things get figured out like the Facebook/Myspace battle and copyright, then we can move on from this term.
