Are you serious??? Do laws prohibiting the following stop people from doing those things: homicide, robbery, drug sales, burglary, forgery, driving under the influence, etc., etc.

Wording of question is flawed.

And that, folks, is how you load a question.

You say that like it's a bad thing! Seriously, How do you think the Brady Bunch words the questions they use to show support for further bans on a civil right? (check the history-gun bans are an off-shoot of Jim Crow law.)

If they are going to regulate gun control. do it in ways that make sense. when you register a gun, they should take a balistic sample (or better yet they should do that at the factory before they leave the plant). and you should have to qualify on both a range and take a safety test. just like getting a driver license. Other than that anyone who is of age, not a criminal, and mentally stable should be allowed to own a gun. period.

just belive in doing things with common sense. like what is the point of registering a gun, if you can't prove it is used in a crime. oh, and laws to punish parents who's kids shoot themselves when gun locks aren't used. face it, if you got kids and got guns you need locks. if you are just adults in the home you don't need them, (well hopifully you don't)

Answer set didn't match the question. In some ways, yes. You know, such as the criminal breaks into your home and steals your weapon. But, you can't stop someone from protecting themselves, and there are already too many guns out there in circulation to stop now anyway. Well, we couldn't afford it anyway.

rather defend my home with a weapon of opertunity. less chance of a law suit. if i was just defending myself with the first thing I could grab. My weapons are for target shooting. It is very zen, and a day at the range leaves me very relaxed.

The best way to stop criminal gun use, actually probably the only way, is lock up the criminals and keep them locked up. If they do kill someone with a gun, then" Death Penalty", not 10 years in jail with TV and recreations.

It's a joke !
