Short term, yes. Much easier to find a "hook-up."
Long term, no. Very difficult to sustain a relationship in a society that has so much animosity toward it.
There is a reason that the gay teen suicide rate is so astronomically high, and it isn't because their emotional lives are easier.

No. Homosexuals are usually closeted here, you could know them for years and never even know.
in my country it is pretty common for gays to get out of closet. But politicians and people in the power would never do that. There were rumors that the former prime minister was bisex.
