The protesters win again.

No it wasn't fair..But, we all pay the price for other's behaviour. It isn't fair that I have to get up and go to work EVERY day, when others (who are perfectly able of doing the same) get to sleep late, get free groceries, etc. You just have to deal with it!

No you don't. Our governor and state legislature reworked the states benefits programs about a decade ago. Simple things. Required that background checks of applicants financial histories to make sure they are actually in need, required that people receiving unemployment benefits from being laid off actually actively seek employment, and other similar things. The unemployment rates have dropped, as well as the number of people on welfare. Not to say that there are not still some people abusing the system and milking it, but it cut a lot of the people off of welfare that had no real need to be on it in the first place. So there are things that can be done, if you deal with it.

I think trouble was planned so they changed the route to avoid trouble. Good move.
