We've considered this, and found when we did a mockup that it cluttered up the page (we were doing a mockup of adding flags next to the user, which would also be interesting...)

Indeed!

And I can picture some cluttering... yeap

The system is very well designed in terms of Usability what would really make any redesign a challenge.

I'll keep posting ideas as they come to my head, ok?

=)

Yep, keep 'em coming! We're watching closely as ideas are suggested and discussed. We are of course limited in what we can accomplish in the very short term, but it certainly helps as we sort priorities.

I hate to invoke the "A" word, but if the flags displayed in... lets say... "Aqua" style, they wouldn't hurt the eye that much =D

I kind of like the idea of the flag button next to the authors name. Not too big, but would probably look nice. I would say a rating, or performance meter would be better, as long as it doesn't get too outta control, lol.

Wow, those are some beautiful flags. Since they're vector, I wonder how small we could get them and still have them be recognizable.

Nice results on 16x16pixels. =)
