My answer can only be "NO", unless it's something I need and am just waiting for a great deal.
Personally i feel they make you aware of a product and yes maybe provide some weight when comparing prices. but that's about it.
I mute the TV adds or switch channels, I also block adds aggressively in my browser, but I do look at the fliers for the deals.
Affect, sure. Dictate, no.
No amount of advertising will *ever* persuade me to eat Spam. ;)
