No, not if you are required to pay for your own health care. Yes, if the (medically uninsured) taxpayers must fork it over to keep you healthy.

good post!!

I've said it before re: McCain's saying that Putin was the President of Germany, the job is not for old guys. It ages you, and if you are an old fart already, you are in trouble. McCain is already older than dirt, and he will be reduced to dirt if he gets the job. I respect the elderly, but we cannot afford a geezer Prez. As evidenced by his Putin mistake, he's not that smart.

At least they can remember saying it.

HAAAAAA!

You describe yourself as Texan and Conservative to the core, so it is not surprising you do not like my assessment of McCain. The guy is too old for the job. He's not that bright (and we don't need another one like that after the last 7 1/2 years), and he flat out doesn't know much about economic matters. My god, the man can't tell the difference between Shiites and Sunnis! I know another guy like that, and he screwed up historically. Oh, and he is from the village of Crawford, Tx.

Agree--good comment

Please don't assume this of all Texans. I'm originally from Texas and I can't say how tired of I am of hearing "Texas, eh? You like Bush?"

I'm not saying it to be snide, I just want to provide an example of why "Texan" is such a badly represented stereotype. The "Texans" that you're thinking of are just more obnoxious and noticeable.

You really believe he is from (was born in) the village of Crawford? Crawford isn't a village and he's not from there. He bought there after becoming President.

I do not like your assessment of McCain because it is flawed and one-sided. It is not surprising a Democrat doesn't like him.

Obama's 'gaff' is true - just shouldn't have been said

At least when he says he was under sniper fire, you can believe him.

Oh wait, that was just a mistake.

Proves Hillary is too old to be president???

I just hope that he has a capable running mate to take over if he doesn't make the full term.

I will have to look at the next 800 emails that says he is communist or Muslim or doesn't salute--thanks for the update. I bet if he went to a NASCAR race he wouldn't remove his ball cap at the star spangled banner.

In the United States Senate, you know .. that place where he's paid to vote but doesn't.

First, the WashPost is 2nd only to the NYT for its bias so to consider it true and Tony Snow false says something.

Second, if you go back several pages, you'll notice that Obama "did not vote" more times than he voted, or so it appeared without doing an actual count.

So, is "not voting" anything like "present"?'

Neither is representative of the voters who sent him there. And don't misunderstand, when he votes "blank", that is probably a good thing for the country.

You're being very disingenuous in your rhetoric, waugs. Your own definition of not voting is "not there to vote", huh? Smooth.

I could repeat "I'm not begruding you .... etc." and follow it with "Don't recycle bs you read in an internet post from the Wash Post!" and be just as honest as you.

You probably know that what you're saying in the above post is specious. I'll just watch and smile at it.

to REPEAT to you, seems you wish to critize Snow for "lying" (perhaps a mistake)but it's okay for Hillary to lie deliberately.

Cute, very cute. Peddle it elsewhere. Not buying, here.
