Half of those with a no, can probably take the time to read a smut magazine, or watch violent movies, but hey! Why read a book about the Lord? One that tells all... Me thinks they have there priorities ALL mixed up. But as we know, it will all boil down come judgement day.
Better reads! what's the amtter my freind? Affraid you'll find out that the things you do now, say, and act upon, are the same things that happened 2,000 years ago, and most of them were not to great. When I first strated reading it, I found it facinating. The wars of today, the famine, and so much more. Just like it was then, the only difference, lesspeople in the world then. I found thing about my own life in that book. Don't say better reads, until you've actually read it.
What's the matter, affriad if you read it you'll find out who you really are. it shows axamples of every way of life there was back then, and reflects on every way of life there is today. You can find things of your own life, if you check it out you will see.Now if your life is farely well messed up, you could find the answer to make your life, neaningful and better.
A preacher who ignores his constituates, is not a very good one. But they are human, there are good ones , and not.
Now as far as God doing evil, let me ask you this??? If you had a kingdom, and you were the ruler(king), what if someone in your kingdom, or even a crowd in you kingdom, did everything they were not suppose to do and were out of control.? What would you do, give them all a pat on the back, and serve doughnuts. I don't think so. You would probably want to kick some tail.
This question is kind of vague... "Do you read the Bible" seems to imply reading on some continual basis (daily, weekly, whatever) and that such reading is still going on.
Have I read the Bible? Yes. Do I read it on a regular basis? No. Do I consider myself a religious person? Not really. Spiritual? Perhaps. I think this question might conflate questions of religion with questions of belief; just because someone reads the Bible doesn't necessitate them being a Christian. I've also read the Koran/Qu'ran, etc., but this doesn't make me Muslim.
If what you're getting at is how many Christians read the Bible, a better way to phrase the question would be: "Are you Christian and do you read the Bible," with the answer choices being:
1) Christian who reads the Bible
2) Christian who doesn't read the Bible
3) Non-Christian who reads/has read the Bible
4) Non-Christian who doesn't read/hasn't read the Bible.
Good point of view. But whether your CHristian or not, if you read the bible, you will find many things that are a part of your life, just as thing were back 2,000 years.
The wars, famine, it was and still is, but what will happen when the Lord comes back to walk the earth and judgement fall upon us all. And believe it, the time will be where that comes about.
Yes. Daily no---but frequently. Fascinating book. Of all the books I've read on business, marketing, goal setting books, etc, Its by far the most powerful.
I assume the bible you're talking about is the Christian bible, in which case my answer is No. There are currently 14,000,000 people who read the Bible, but not the one you're talking about. They're called Jews.
ABSOLUTELY
Did you notice the percentage on the map above!

An interesting history book, best read in conjunction with other books of the era, which, incidentally, don't support much of the story told therein.
Eh, there are better reads.

Read it but don't read it. The question is a good start but could be clearer. It could be something like, "How often do you read the Bible/Koran?"
Haha exactly! This is pretty much what I was trying to say; I think I'm just too verbose/took too long typing it.

I love the way preachers ignore what you say. They're so intent on conversion that they can't have a conversation.
I did read it. Your god does a lot of evil in that book.

I suggest you read it again...

Just my (rather rambling) thoughts.

Of course it's the most powerful, it's the word of God.
