I can't STAND laptops. Have to use one at work sometimes and I use the number keys extensively. Find it a real pain not to have the number keys on the extreme right of the board. I suppose I've become accustomed to the ergonomic keyboard I have as well. The flat surface leaves me making constant typos. Takes twice as long to get work done on those tiny things.
I know exactly what you mean. I have an ergonomic at home and have to type on a normal one at work too. Some times it gets hard to adjust. I remember when I started learning to type and started typing some of my own stuff when I was a soldier before everything was computerized. I should have bought stocks in the White Out company..
A larger monitor and more computing power is preferable to transportability. Besides, carrying around a laptop around is never convenient.
