Unfortunately you don't understand prayer. Especially when You pray about something virtually impossible---and it happens---when you needed it most. You can only explain the outcome---by the miraculous. An answer to a prayer....toooo many to count
I ask because, by definition, conversation is two-sided process. Using it in this context seems just a tad too, if not symbolic, then inaccurate.
But your right, I don't fully understand prayer, be it the ritualized state sanctioned 'religio' of the Romans, or the modern mix-and-match approach some hold to christianity.
I'll tell you 2 prayers this week. We have a cat--he is part of our family, he's black and white--very cool cat--anyway, sometimes he has had a urinary infection--we have taken him to the doctor for this condition. He is on a special diet--well, this week we could tell he was feeling a discomfort by his actions, we layed our hands on him and prayed for him that God would heal him. He's been fine the rest of the week. The other one was a friend of mine who called me and was very worried about their finances--I prayed with her over the phone--there was a peace that came upon her before I got of the phone. Peace replaced a very worried demeanor. Amazing. By the way I am a Marketing strategist---not an evangelist.
Everyday. Walking around, at my computer, wherever. It's an on-going conversation.
A one-sided conversation though?
