I've heard this from a bunch of other people... Where on earth did they get these dates from? Almost all Aztec and Mayans documents and writings were destroyed by the Catholic priests who came with the conquistadors...
The Mayan calendar was written on a wheel. From the beginning of their record of history, they transcribed their astronomical observations on the wheel, round and round. To say that they predicted the end of the world on this date is absurd. They simply ran out of room on their wheel when projecting celestial positions through to Dec. 21, 2012. I guess they figured that was long enough to track/predict star positions for their purposes and didn't bother to make a bigger wheel. GMAFB!
The Mayans were predicting the end of the era of the Pisces, not the end of the world...... same thing for the Bible which was built around astrological science. Just look at the link and especially the first 40 minutes of the movie.
the End-Date
Do you know what happens 7 years after the rapture?
According to your bible... 7 years of tribulation.

Thank you ... you have redeemed Canadians world wide.
Do you what happens when you ask stupid Maya questions?
Coming from a Canadian ... perhaps you can shed light on the subject ? :)
A wheel is 360 degrees without beginning or end. I'm not scared!
The Mayans got bored of making a calendar and decided to stop at 2012. Duh.
