You donj't need to "get religion" to take part in it. Christmas is about being with the ones you love and exchanging gifts, it only has something to do with religion if you make it that way.
My point is, should people who don't believe in Christ call it Christmas or should they call it something else? The fact that many people don't associate the day with Christ may be the reason a lot of people say "Happy Holidays" as a greeting instead of "Merry Christmas."
