Nope, definitely don't feel old; don't look old either. Most people my age look old enough to be my parents. Many of them even *sound* old enough to be my parents. Of course they probably don't have Peter Pan complexes either... even when lacking the often associated Tinker Bell (fairy) complex. ;)

Yes, because I have a physical disability that reduces my ability to move without pain. I frequently move like I am eighty or older because of it. It has nothing to with my calendar age.
Sorry to hear that dauguy, I didn't know that from you. (Sadly) I do know what that can feel like - perhaps a similar situation over here.
It does not influence how old I feel, (well it depends how you look at it), perhaps because I was born with my condition. I often say I have 4 different ages:
1: My calendar age
2: My psychological age (how OLD I feel), this is perhaps some 15 years younger than my calendar age
3: How old I look, I do look a bit younger than my calender age too. Perhaps 5-10 years even, I always have, as a young man it was no fun to look like a 14 year old boy, but these days I make scandalous use of my looks of course :-)
4: My age on medical scans, I supposedly have the backbone of a 110 year old man though my hips and arms are "just" 90 years old.
You two make me feel young, I am doing some physical work (rebuilding the kitchen) and I was thinking how unfit I am. Thanks for reminding me that I should consider myself lucky, rather then worry about my aches and pains.
Well... I am not saying you should worry and moan (I believe nobody was ever helped by that), but I don't think that the fact someone else is perhaps in greater discomfort makes your pains and aches any less real to you.
Actually my condition exists in several forms, one of which is so severe that you die from it. I have a less severe form, but the fact that others with my disease die does not make me happier or in any less pain.
I hope you start feeling fit again and good luck with the kitchen!
If i could afford health care, it would be (comparatively) negligible in its effects. But that would require the services of a pain management specialist, far out of my reach. And I HAVE health insurance.
A shocking example of what your current health care system leads to (not so much care). I am worried about the Dutch system as well. It used to be pretty good until a few years ago, now it is rapidly eroding, politicians are trying to introduce economic-capitalist principles into the system. One result we see now: the deathrate for newborn babies is rising rapidly!

Free-market economics will destroy civilization.
