Is anything made here anymore? Jeez - they're even passing legislation to make sure at least the American flag is still made in the USA. Looks like we may all have to start buying a couple new ones ever year just to keep the economy going.
Prison labor is a huge source of "Made in America" goods. They don't have to be paid what non-criminals are, and, even in the one state that requires equal pay, don't have benefits or equal working conditions--they have no civil rights.

Yes, because I am an American crafter and work with other American crafters, If you mean the few factory products still made here, they are no different than those made anywhere else.
For prison labor in America, search the ask500people data base. It has come up before, and I provided a ransom sampling of links. They are easy enough to find.
This site includes four of the shows (we have two other independent shows in California at present) around the country where my sister sells soft swords and dollies. All are 100% made by us, with the exception of certain jobs we hire out as piecework when we are overwhelmed.
Don't have a specific website for our products yet, but by next year hope to be big enough to warrant it. And have enough stock on hand for internet orders.
No, but I have only been out here on the East Coast one season, most of that spent getting the house into livable condition. I want to add three more faires next year. I had considered Maryland, Georgia, perhaps Pennsic, or Sterling. I will look at Mannheim, too, now.
My employer makes aircraft. The majority of them are sold to overseas customers,so it would seem that we do still have some quality products being made.
Unfortunately, there aren't too many things made in the US any more. I was back in the US 3 times last year. No matter what I wanted to buy, it was made in either somewhere in Asia or South America. I wasn't looking for a plane or car.

agree
A Swedish snob.
You have to take into consideration that the only thing made is Sweden now days is probably Swedes.

Some yes, some no - that is why I like a site like this to help me decide before buying (let's get specific to the product!).
