Wing, for a long time I thought surely I would go to hell for even thinking these thoughts. Then I thought to myself if it's true God knows everything He already knows I have these thoughts and he knows every event that happened in my life that led me to the conclusions I have. And I am sure he understands why I arrived at the conclusions I've reached. Therefore I believe if people that know God are right and what they had told me is fundamentally sound then I'm safe. But if the people that purport to know God are wrong then everybody's speculations don't matter a bit, do they?

2 points. #1 Being a christian is not being a monk in a monastery,we are saved by grace, not by "being" something, or "doing" something! you never heard me say I was perfect, I am forgiven, I am a sinner like the rest of you....#2..I get so sick and tired of childish embeciles that go around shooting off their mouth about things they know absolutely nothing about, blasting God the bible, mocking scoffing without a clue, talk about showing ones ignorance! Its like dealing with a bunch of 13 or 14 year olds that suddenly think they know all the anwers but haven't even learned the questions...other than that..you are right...I allow my temper to get the best of me sometimes!
Yeah, I agree. But not only have various peopel probably changed it slightly, but things can be lost in translation because it depends on how the translator interprets a sentence.
A "sin"? Yes, in the strict sense of some religions it is considered a sin.
The real question is "is it wrong?", and the answer to that is a resolute NO. If you think it's wrong, you either a moron who can't think for him/herself, or a closet case.
Well, I never had any reason to give this issue any thought; however it occurs to me most men wouldn't think it's a sin if a woman does it, more likely a "sin" if she doesn't, so if you just look at it as a matter of what's equitable then, it shouldn't weigh any heavier regardless of what sex the participants are.
Homosexuality is not a sin. Love - of any form - is not a sin.
And remember, for those of you using the Bible to prop up your bigotry - God hates shrimp, too! They are 'an abomination unto you.' (Leviticus 11:11) So, if the Bible is the word of God and homosexuality is an abomination, don't eat shrimp or lobster!
Homosexuality is not a sin. Many Christians misinterpret cherry picked lines either intentionally or unintentionally. Scholars who have recently studied the Bible in context of other lines and of the times have shown those passages often cited, such as Leviticus's "man lieth with man" have to do with idolatry, rape, and prostitution. Thats why Jesus never mentioned homosexuality as well, but clearly mentions love for everyone.
Various books have been written on this issue. Real Christians dont need links though as proof, as homosexuality is not wrong, immoral, and doesnt harm others.

Try Leviticus
Leviticus isn't enthusiastic about cheeseburgers or wool-cotton socks either.
